This would be great. Why not create a sort of poll ?

I don't often take ingame pics of my Sims. But while seeking in an old folder, I found a few. I posted them on a French blog (vefblog) by 2010. I need to see with the size of them.

I'm re-editing to provide some pics of two old Sims ingame. It's Sims which in the meanwhile I "improved".

First here is my dear Sylvie, redhead with freckles but unfortunately I lost her so I'll do my best to redo her, I'll Pooklet the hair (because I can't find this Peggy one anywhere retextured, except Rissa's colours) :

And here is Carolyn, which I also revamped since, but kept her with the same hair (a rare retexture from oskaronedesigns which I love).

I don't know if I know more by Io but I like the make up very much on this Sim.

Whenever you want to start it. it's not "urgent".

I think that the section could contain sub-sections per year with the themes for each. Or reversed : The themes as sub-sections and for each the year. Example : Christmas (or whatever else) and then 2015 ; 2016... etc.

This way people could find out more easily.

Also it wouldn't be mandatory to create for each theme a house, a Sim, clothes, walls. People could choose what precisely inspires them best. It would give a chance for those who like more to create walls or objects recolours, and the same for those who are more into Bodyshop. I could do both clothes (retextures), accessory recolours and objects recolours, walls, but it depends on what theme. Houses could take some more time, at least for me.

While at many places, there are topics about our favourite CC...

I'd find it interesting to know : what kind of CC that you never downloaded at all.

In my case, I never downloaded Maxis recolours for all related to pets, even if I like dogs and cats ingame and see them around.

I also never downloaded and used clothing for toddlers and children : they grow up so quickly that I think it isn't useful for me, in my opinion.

For WCIFs, pics are of course also useful.

Yuichen, I posted a topic with a question about possible Aspiration themes as they were done at WNF a while ago... It could be some fun to have something similar here, but not monthly.

I don't have really old Sims 2 pics. When I changed my computer twice before 2009 I didn't save my neighbourhoods or very old houses. But I still have very old Sims but they're so... ugly and I revamped them all little by little.

I liked so much the idea at Wicked Nouk Family with their aspirations.

I was wondering if there could be something similar on this forum for themes that would have various types of creations, might it be houses, jewels, Sims, clothes.

Perhaps for monthly contributions it'd he too difficult with everyone's real life schedules. But the themes could have like no expiry date to post, but just respect the theme, what it is about.

I'd have some ideas for themes and it could be fun !

This is true about clutters. I like to collect them for so to say my designed houses but not to possibly play with a family.

Some people use a hack to walk through places full of clutters on the floors. It seems that it can maybe cause lot crashes. However with te tons of plants I got outside and inside, I use a preventive hack by Inge Jones, to not have my Sims constantly water flowers, etc.

Once I started a mobile homes project. I hope to get into it again, because I love Gipsy homes, roulottes, etc.

I also refurnished a Moroccan palace (this one is huge on a beach) and used BB niches and bits to make alcove double beds against walls, with long curtains on the front. I try to be creative in such cases when there's a premade object (like one alcove bed from the medievalsmithy) that isn't exactly what I want for a house project.

I also like bunk beds very much, but find Inge Jones' ones very practical to use, near an alcoved window corner giving full view to the outside (forest or beach...).

I know that it is maked old thread... Sorry if I reply.

I try to find inspiration from houses photos of lots I downloaded.

My houses depend a bit on my mood or if I have something specific in mind. Sometimes I make makeovers and refurnish.

I like to mix styles : a bit oldish or classic and I like large bay windows somewhere for a small touch of modern.

I don't like to furnish too much, decorate with clutters everywhere. So basically my houses have often more plants and trees outside and indoor. What's important for me also, more than decoration, it's the quality of floors and walls, depending on what I really want for a house.

Working on some architects' paper plan can be interesting for ideas and it can be challenging sometimes.

In the early years I built a lot of Gothic houses or some kind of castles, but they need to be on large lots when they have an inside yard. They're not easily playable with Sims needing to walk long distances LOL. So I make much smaller lots, today farm styled or modern, with just the necessary rooms. I also like to have rooms under the foundation having an exit door to a garden or a beach.

But when a site is closed and their CC is no longer anywhere, I prefer to have preview pics or I do my own for them and I compress if necessary because I might have duplicates of those pics anyway.

I will sort this, even if it takes more time than planned.

I'm exploring your forum still now. I noticed that there are many digressions on ranabluu's original subject...

I'm also lazy, for preview pics. But as long as those pics are for me to know what is what... Too many people still never add preview pics in their folders to download. It annoys me more than other things.
