I hadn't heard anything about this EP until Phoenix mentioned it on my DW, so I had to go looking for info. She described it as Uni meets Family Fun and Pets. Best part? NEW TYPES OF PETS! Seriously, horses and snakes, deer...! ^_^

I really hope they don't dumb it down so that you can't "own" a horse, only go riding. Regardless, fing SQUEEEE.

well i don't think they would have them in the unleashed expansion w/o letting you have them as a pet. i dunno though

I guess what I'm saying is that I hope they don't do a C&P of what they did with the first Sims game, where they treat other animals as objects: "The Sims: Unleashed is the fifth expansion pack developed for The Sims. Unleashed introduces pets into the game. While dogs and cats are treated as sims, other pets are treated as objects. However, they cannot be controlled directly like human Sims are. "

Just hoping they don't decide to do that. It'll be interesting to see how they develop lots for say, an equestrian center or a farm. If the game wasn't complex enough at some points, lol.

hm. well i never played the first sims games so I dunno. I hope like you said that they fully develop owning a pet. like can you groom them and feed them and crap.

Someone at GOS speculated it may be a standalone like Medieval seeing that the video doesn't saying expansion pack anywhere.

Late replying to this but regardless I'm going to get it! LOL! I really hope it's not a stand alone. It didn't look like it but the release date is still far off and these videos were leaked so who knows what they might add/take away? Keeping fingers crosses that it's as awesome as everyone wants it to be! I'm leaning more toward generations! FINALLY have personal pictures on the wall!

Now that I think about it, if it were a standalone, it might not say Sims3 in front of it. Though I suppose they couldn't really use The Sims: Unleashed again... hmm.
