Got an idea for a contest or challenge you'd like to run by other members generating more interest? Sound off here!

Sizza's storytelling contest has been postponed for the time being (the thread has not been deleted but moved to moderator discussion for safe keeping) as the forum hasn't been terribly active, and aside from chatter there didn't seem to be a lot of interest at this point in time. When there is more interest in it however, should Sizza still want to host it, it'll be moved back here. In the meantime feel free to throw some ideas around.

I'd been struggling to get the sets since yesterday but it finally paid off. I didn't like  having a room for the sprog that didn't seem like it was built for a child at all.







It's now the best looking room in the house, lol.

Now that I've reinstalled TS3 and am out looking for stuff I've come across some really good sites, though I feel I have to mention Lili Sims. Everything is hand painted and so well done that I can't even believe it!

Random Discussion / My Dog Is Awesome

Not for being pretty, but because he's better at mousing than my cat with all the toes and claws.

Came home from the notary today to find the dog had a mouse. Took a while to get it from him (stubborn ass!) but finally managed to put it outside; it was just a baby. A couple minutes ago I heard a squeak and turned to look... the dog had another one! Apparently there's a nest in the wall between this room and living room, and there just so happens to be a tiny hole underneath the doorframe where we had to do some cutting to be able to lay the flooring. He also caught two mice in the recycling bin this past spring.

Now he's upset with me because I plugged the hole :P

Personal Issues / She's Gone

Found out last night that a girl I went to school with died sometime during the day. I don't know what happened but it's making me feel really shitty. Obviously it's bad that she died, but it's really bothering me because after I moved away I lost contact with a lot of people until I got on facebook, though I didn't get around to adding everyone I knew well enough because I'm stupid and awkward about things like that. Well, now it's too late to get to know her again :(

It's times like these when you realize not to take things for granted. Before you know it something happens and someone amazing is gone. You didn't get to say goodbye or that you love them, just left to sulk and say, "I wish I..." Ugh.

Random Discussion / Non-Sims Gaming

Obviously The Sims aren't the only games we play. What are some of your favorites or recommendations?

As said in the admin intro thread I play Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, and Battlefield Bad Company 2. I also really liked Bioshock (currently still playing through the 2nd), Rock Band, and am a huge fan of the Tomb Raider series. Alright, excluding Angel of Darkness :P Oh, and the first Uncharted. I've played through that game so many times it's crazy. I'm hoping to get the next one soon among a bunch of others because someone keeps hounding me about them.

It's quite awkward and quiet in here so I thought I'd post something. Anything really, so that we're not just standing around looking at the floor and pretty pictures on the wall while fidgeting with our name tags :P

So, what are your favorite TV shows? Any you're particularly obsessed with?

It's long finished now but I absolutely adored Six Feet Under. I watch a lot of House, and before 24 finished I was pretty into that although I got into it late. Don't watch much TV now so I'm probably pretty behind in what's out there these days. I've been wanting to watch Dexter but I always forget when it's on!
