After much convincing by two of my co-horts, I finally installed S3. Just the base game for now.
So I was asked to show off my first Sim and figured that ya'll could post your female sims as well!
Here is my first try at a sim! Her name is Rei Thorenson.

Aww she's cute! I love her name... though I feel a tiny bit special knowing the story behind it :P
(and you know what? When Rae gets back we should prod her to come here and help us fill up this section of the forum with pics xD)

She is pretty cute, isn't she? She lost a lot of weight when she went to China. Now if I could just get that man to come visit her... :P

I made another sim to test building in the game and I just adore her. She's insane and does the cutest, most amusing things. I sent her to Egypt per her want and she ran around in her wedding dress xD And if you're curious how the building went, some screens are here (http://under-your-skin.com/forum/index.php?topic=95.msg643#msg643) but only exterior at the moment.

Ok, I'm lazy and I haven't gotten back to Riden or his wife Sun. I've started another family and since I'm still playing with their household, I figured I would show the pics I have.

Yes, Irish theme names, b/c I'm crazy. Sorcha is pronounced "SOR-kha" or "SOR-i-kha"--(I'm lame and use a slightly different version of th ename in my novel, I pronounce is SOR-sha)--and it means radiant. Ciannait is pronounced "KEE-nat"--(again, I'm lame and I pronounce it like the county in Ireland, Connaught)--and means ancient.
She's pretty cute, I think, and I love how she's a flirty firefighter. :P In fact, she met her hubby at the firehouse... :P I'll post pics of him later....

I'm glad you said how to pronounce her name cause I'm seeing it as Sor-sha Cee-ugh-nate, lol. She's really cute though! Was the house you were working on for her family?

Lol I dunno. I like the firefighting career far more than most of the other ones for some reason.
And you're welcome. I keep pronouncing it wrong, like i said, but I figure that since Gaelic is so oddball I should help as much as I can.
I might move them into that house if I get enough money. Biggest prob is that its made for a HUGE family, so I dunno if I will ever get that ambitious...

Yes xD My very first S3 couple had 4 pretty close together and it wasn't too bad. Seems easier than in S2.

Lol it's weird for me too. I'm still not used to it. Makes playing more fun though.

I'm not sure, lol. Maybe it was actually a custom default I used, I don't remember. I'll have to pay more attention to the babies to see.

I haven't decided yet. She's living in a studio apartment so there isn't much room for an instrument but I might still try. we'll see how her culinary goes

I think I found her niche. She loves playing the guitar. Only silly thing is, she loves to cook but doesn't eat the food or clean up after herself >.>

usually you can invite people she's pretty friendly with who are also good in music to join or start a band.

This is the Sims3 version of a much loved TS2 character of mine. Her name is Sloane. Actually, Hadley in the TS2 female thread is her miserable sister (by adoption).

TS2 Sloane is so much cuter. But I like that you've managed to make her look less puddingtastic in TS3.

Not sure it's possible to make them look realistic in sims3 actually. All the pretty cc in the community can't really change their cartoony expressions. Though sometimes I love them, hehe.
I still prefer the ts2 version but she doesn't really get to have a life in that game =/
