Title: Dragon Age II

Anyone else playing the game? I got it on release date and read some reviews.  Some people love it, others are pretty meh about it! Me? I'm loving it! Haven't went a day without playing for a few hours since release! Thoughts? Opinions? This is my Hawke(female of course as well as warrior class!):

:) I'm such a lurker so I'm trying to get out of that habit! I'm thinking about posting some Sims up for download and spamming the picture thread! But baby steps...baby steps!:)~

Nooo...I kept seeing TS3 Sims when I look at it...especially her mother(the lady on the left!).

LOVE this game. I took a break from it to play MoH but now I am back to it. I wish there was a way to take pictures of my character on my PS3 :/

I wish the PS3 did have a picture taking feature.  That would be cool! But this game is AWESOME! I'm loving it so hard that I'm neglecting everything else! LOL!!

I think you have to have that camera for the PS3 or something like that...I can't be sure! I'll have to do a bit of research!

Sounds like you need a capture card but not everything works. Someone also said hooking up a usb keyboard and hitting printscreen would work, but how do you save it?

Dragon Age 2! Near finishing my second playthrough already ;P Loving it far more than the first one actually, except I can't have DX11 because I'm on XP and not Win7 :( Doesn't really show though, besides on Hawke's clothes. Want to compare Hawkes, people? :D

I rather like my Mage!Hawke Bea. Also, I really really tried romancing someone other than Anders for my second playthrough but I can't just seem to stay away from him. Or my Hawke can't. Heh. Not that I'm really THAT excited about a game character Myself... cough.

Yeah, i sort of went into a gaming frenzy when I got my sweaty paws on my copy on thursday around noon, and was done around 2am on sunday. That happened last with vampire the masquerade bloodlines! :D

OMG Io!!! LOL!! Second play through?? You're killing me!! I get distracted by all the side quests and then I'm torn between Anders and Sebastian(the Scottish accent man!).

I always, without fail, pick a female warrior! Maybe next go around I'll pick something different!

Yui, the game is amazing!! I never even finished the first one but I KNOW I'm going to finish this one! And yeah...that's a good question about how you'd save it on the PS3.

I have them in my rental queue but I've yet to get them. I'd prefer to try something before I buy it... though I did find a pack on amazon with the first and the expansion for under $50. Was kinda surprised. *huggles amazon*

Now that I see her up close, she totally isn't using a peggy hair :P

I used to get things off ebay but the last couple times I got screwed, so I moved on to amazon. Between that and Etsy I could get myself in some trouble :P

I think someone should make a similar hair... <.< >.> hehe

@Yui I only got one thing off of ebay and that was a book so it wasn't that big of a deal! I've heard stories about ebay(good and bad!) so it all depends yeah? Oh gosh! Etsy is full of win!! :D

Someone should TOTALLY do that hair! LOL!!

@Kar I found this (http://www.ehow.com/how_7733204_save-pictures-ps3-video-games.html) tutorial about hooking things up and blah, blah, blah but then I read about the PS3 eye sooo...I guess there is a way if you really want to take pictures! :D Yesterday was my Friday so I've been gaming all day!

She could try the PS3 eye method, she has it :)

I never used to have problems with ebay, but last year I just had nothing but bad luck. It's okay though, I was surprised to find amazon has pretty good deals too.

hm. that sound complicated. The sad thing with the PS3 is you can't zoom into  your characters so it wouldn't be a good pic :/

I only had trouble with amazon once but that was with a seller. ebay i've had a lot of problems with :/

OMG!! SOOOO good! I'm at the beginning of the second Act(I think!). Maybe more towards the middle because of all the side quests.  I have to do the side quests!:P And I got Sebastian.  The prince from the DLC! I want to romance him so hard! That Scottish accent kills me!

no, she hasn't even played the first one :P Trying to work on that :P

Anywho. I am royally stuck in mine. I'm close to the end of Act 2 and have to defeat the Arishok. He's so dang hard! I have yet to have luck with romancing anybody. Aveline totally rejected Hawke :(

Gah!! I'm getting ready to boot up the game.  I'll probably get to him sometime tonight! If I can stop taking side quests! Do you take them all or no? And I'm too nice I think! I can't refuse a request! Next play through I might just be a mean Hawke!

Have they released a patch for the PS3 yet? I downloaded the patch and the high res package.

That's after installing the high res package.  You have to have direct x11 which some people don't have yet which kinda sucks.  Doesn't really make that HUGE of a difference. Still nice though!:P

Next go around I'm going to be a guy to see what the difference is!:D

nah. you can switch between character all through-out battles. that's why I like it so much, especially if someone is dying. you can heal them.

From threads and everything I've seen the people that LOVED the first one didn't necessarily like the second and people who LOVED the second find the first one meh! *shrug*

This is my goofy Hawke, Braxton.  He's a mage, romanced Anders...  And obviously took the snarky options most of the time. <3

While the game has it's flaws, I enjoyed myself immensely.  Can't wait to play again!

Well, dang near anything the creaters make is done for a purpose, typically attractive enough to make you not vomit when you see them every time you load the game.

I hate to admit it, but DA1 and DA2 just were just okay to me. I liked the style and the map features of the 2nd, and the semi open world of the first, but I've played other games far more and with far more fervor. To me--and this is why you also shouldn't feel bad about it Yui--they were meh, okay. Something to play, but the want lacked.

I wouldn't say I feel bad about it. I had the game for like 2 weeks and played maybe 3 times? I mean, it wasn't horrible or anything, it just seemed extremely slow to me, and I don't know... I'd rather play the Tomb Raider trilogy and I've already played the games a couple times, you know? I really need to pick up Assassin's Creed Brotherhood again...

if we are going to compare...Assassin's Creed has nothing on DA. AC is something I can play and play and not get bored of. DA...I have to really WANT to play it or bored of any other games I have XD

My graphics card is dying so it looks kind of crunchy, but there's Penelope. Finally got Dragon Age II last Monday because it was %25 off on Steam. I'm enjoying it but I'm definitely going to play through again when I'm finished.

I had it preordered but I had to cancel the preorder because I needed to work on school. So I was going to get it for myself as a reward for finishing school. But then it was 25% off... >_> I couldn't resist.

My brother is home visiting so I haven't had much time to play, but Steam says "15 hours played." And that's since last Monday. 15 hours in 2 weeks when normally it'd be 15 hours in 2 days xD

She is a rogue. I mostly only play rogues. I like being able to unlock things. ;D I also like dual-weapon talents.
