Title: Cool Kitchen Stuff Announced
Post by: yuichen on Jul 29, 2015, 01:36PM
SimsVIP reports (http://simsvip.com/2015/07/29/the-sims-4-ea-announces-the-sims-4-cool-kitchen/) there's a new kitchen stuff pack coming out on August 11th. There will be a free update the week before that gives us a dishwasher.

First thought is how much is this thing going to be and second thought is when is the real EP coming.  I noticed there were no dishwashers or trash compactors.

I don't know about trash compactors but the dishwashers are supposed to be free in a patch before the pack comes out.

And stuff packs seem to be $10.

It's going to be interesting.  So what were Outdoor Retreat and Spa packs?  They were 20 bucks...outdoor retreat should have been free if you ask me, but no one did.  I hope they give more than a dishwasher for free.

Outdoor Retreat and Spa Day are game packs. They're supposed to add more to the game than just stuff, with a bunch of new activities and interactions, etc. So it's kind of somewhere between an expansion and stuff pack.

I imagine they'll give us something else in the patch too. Would be silly to just have one thing.

Silly are we still talking about Maxis/EA?  I hope so as well.  All this talk has me wanting to fire up the game but I think I am going to go to bed instead. Maybe....

I keep meaning to play but still end up on console instead. Though I want to build an apartment building with a rooftop terrace more than actually play. I've been feeling so lazy lately.

That's okay.  I am sure you will have it completed over the weekend lol.  Motivating huh?

I worked on it today actually! :D I'm not really sure what I want to do now though. I mirrored it on the same floor but now I feel like maybe I should just have one apartment per floor. Have no idea how I want the exterior to look though. Right now it's rather boxy.

All of my creations are boxy :(.

I mean, it's on the modern side so I don't feel so bad about it, but still. I feel like I've gotten really lazy about building.

Well if you like I can find some pictures that I would love to have turned into houses.  TS2 of course, just to keep your skills fresh  ;D

Lol yeah. I look at a lot of house plans. I think all the last ones I've put up for download were based on plans.

There's nothing wrong with that.  I will find some to ask for, lol.

Lol okies.

I just saw on that new sims4 forum that you can still use things if they're closed entirely up in the half walls. Someone made it look like a built in grill and they can use it, while another person surrounded a bed that was fully functional.

Whaaaa...

So even if things aren't completely closed off you can still use the item?  Someone put half walls up and could still use the bed.  How is that possible?

Thanks for the link.  I don't have a username for that site.  I might make one.

Everyone's pretty nice but I feel like some of the threads are a little redundant.

I like places where people are nice.  No matter how great downloads are at sites with rude people I do not go there.

Definitely wont have that problem there :)

Did you see the new EP trailer?

Yep. I know a lot of people are all pissed off about it being the next one, but I like the look of it.

I am not pissed but it in my opinion it looks really boring.  The stuff packs seem to have had more flare well except for the kitchen ep that will come out this month.  I think I am not into DLC stuff I really like discs and I want to play offline without updating every other day.  I guess we will have to see.

Yeah... seems kind of silly to get angry about it, personally. Don't want it, just don't buy it. Wait for the next one. Seasons and pets will probably come up sometime. If nothing else, it's good for their wallets, lol.

I think it has potential. Maybe as more information comes out closer to the release it'll sound more fun.

I will wait and see.  I am waiting for the word that TS3 is free for dl and TS5 is around the corner, lol.

I think what upsets me with TS4 is that it is all online first before you can play it offline.  I didn't have my internet for a few days and really wanted to try out simcity but since I only installed it and didn't "play" it I couldn't go offline.  I feel that way with all of the stuff.  I know it's cheaper to release it via the internet but what about those people who don't have the net....

If kitchen stuff came with waiters and we could eat on other lots and have people wait on us, that would be great.

Very true! They should've thought of that. I know it saves them money, but I think they need to realize that some players are kids and their parents might not want them downloading the games. They shouldn't have to miss out on a good experience because of it.

That's a great point.  EA are/is blood suckers....  >:(
