SimsVIP has found new text (http://simsvip.com/2015/07/02/the-sims-4-locked-doors-half-walls-coming-july-9th/) in the game files that tells of half walls and locked doors coming July 9th! According to their twitter (http://simsvip.com/2015/07/02/the-sims-4-locked-doors-half-walls-coming-july-9th/) someone has seen it mentioned in the gallery as well.
I already use a mod for locked doors but I am so happy to hear of the half walls!

That would be great for locked doors. I don't play TS4 that much but that is encouraging for me to have some sort of a store. I think I want to make an art studio. I have decided that I would only us mods and not custom content. Thanks for the information.

I got the mod after I opened a bakery. Customers were getting all caught up in the kitchen and behind the counters, plus they were going down into the basement where she lived. Couldn't stand it.

I only have two mods but since I haven't played in forever I don't even know what they are, lol. I will have to look at the mods to see what I "need".

I guess it comes in different heights too, which is really nice. I haven't done the update to see it for myself, but I saw a picture on tumblr with all of them lined up next to each other.

I did the update but haven't played. I didn't know that someone had created the very thing for ts2 a while back. It was linked to me today. I was like this is a sweet day lol.

I just finished mine but I really need to clean the house. Blergh, I don't want to adult, lol.

I did the dishes, cooked, and now it's time for some laundry lol.

I would probably just leave it for tomorrow if it were a normal day, but I start pet-sitting twice a week for the next month, and though sweet, Bella is still young and gets into things. She seems to think she is part vacume.

Oh how cute. Animals make humans better beings. I wished Nicholas cleaned :D.

She's such a garbage disposal. A month ago we took down the drywall between the kitchen and living room and ever since then our younger cat keeps scratching the wall studs, leaving little pieces of wood all over. Some fell down into cracks and when Bella was here for the trial run weeks ago, she kept sucking them out and dog hair too. It's like, really?? She also eats stones outside, and if there are any little pieces of paper or cardboard around, she'll find it.
I really wished my pets cleaned too. My older dog loves shredding paper and cardboard and we constantly have to go around and pick it up. He's never really been interested in toys for some reason. Add to that all their damn hair *cries*

I know what you mean. Nicholas tends to find any type of plastic or paper and turn it into a toy. I buy him toys and he only chooses to play with them at like 3 in the morning on my bed. He thinks he rules the world and especially me. I have to tell him he's the pet not me, he doesn't listen.

Lol, sounds familiar. I think my older cat sees the rest of us as his personal staff.

They do have the "I'm better than you attitude", I really really really want a dog though they are so loving.

Aww, yes! My dogs are pretty sweet. The younger one moreso; he's a cuddler... I don't think he realizes just how big he is.

Dogs are so awesome and they listen, Nicholas only listens to his food dish being filled.
I actually got to use the door lock today one of my coworkers was in the private room using my pc. What's really going on with her?

LOL, that sounds about right xD My dogs listen pretty well unless they're loose outside and someone goes by. Then they're deaf, apparently. Moreso the older one.
Sounds like she was using company bandwidth to look at questionable things :P

You know I used the locked doors option and it's pretty awesome. I really like that they added it back into the game.

Technically they aren't home businesses because you can't build a store on your home lot. You have to buy a retail lot and then you can build a living space somewhere on it... and just not leave, lol. It's kind of silly that they made it this way considering you end up with basically empty lots where your sim technically lives but never returns to.
Granted, I don't know if there's a mod to bypass such silliness.

That really sucks. I haven't given building a retail area a chance. I might but knowing me I probably will not....:(

I liked building my bakery more than actually playing it. I should try out some other things just to see how it compares.

I really don't even know what the retail district is about. I think my sim went once cause I was trying to find him a woman but they were all well you know creepy.

You don't have to do it in the retail district, you can build right in your regular world :)
I still haven't even gone to look around the retail district yet, which is silly.

Now that I've seen the half walls in person, I have to say they're pretty awesome. I didn't know you could have different types of caps, though I wish there was one that just made it look like a flat wall. My only other complaint is that there's an awfully big jump between the two tallest sizes. Feel like there could've been one more in between. But at least we have different options now :)

I'm gonna do mine tomorrow. I kind of want to make a pie I saw a recipe of but I don't have all the stuff. Not sure if I'll get out to pick them up or not.

I updated it but have busy trying to fix my pictures. I really don't like plying ts2 in windows mode. I might play ts4 next weekend.

I don't dare to play Sims2 in windowed. Doubt it could handle it.

I was trying it so I could still chat and such but I can't get decent pictures of the stuff I create. I already suck at that part so I need all the help I can get.

Oh I see. Fair enough! When I'm in Sims2 I have my tablet open beside me and I chat on that. Or "watch" Netflix, lol.

You are a good multitasker. I am not. I tried that with my laptop and just got frustrated.

Sometimes I am. Other times I completely fail. Occasionally I can be watching something on tv, making something for the sims, talking to a friend via trillian or text, and browsing tumblr... albeit very slowly.
Last week I had Sims4 open working on my "apartments" and was was talking to a friend, but I kept getting distracted by youtube. Wound up forgetting all about the game being open for like two hours.
