Does anyone know how to get to the supernaturals in simpe and is willing to explain it to me as if I were a two year old........? Please.....
-
What are you trying to do with them?
-
I was trying to change the eyes from red for the vampire to what for a simmer at Leefish. I found a default replacement but the surrounding eye area was stretched.
-
Just those ones were stretched or did you find other replacements were too?
I know how to change skintones from simpe so I would imagine eyes would normally work the same way (though it's for -one- sim not a change for all), but being that they're supernatural I'm not sure if it would be different.
-
Everyone said to just use a default replacement....
I did that I got help from FanSeeLamb I figured out what I was doing wrong, hopefully the person that asked for them likes them this time. I did it twice. I see why I enjoy downloading more than creating.
-
You know I actually figured it out but FanSeeLamb set me straight and told me what I was doing wrong lol.
-
Lol, well glad they helped you sort it out :)
-
Yes. I am use to copy paste but it was something a little bit more detailed. The person I helped loved the eyes, that's really all that matters. Now if I can just get this meshing thing down.
-
Good, I'm glad they did :)
Are you trying to mesh a body or object?
-
Object. I have not a clue about meshing.
-
I am much more comfortable with body meshing, as long as it's on the simple side. Bone assignments can be a bitch.
I tend to stick to slight edits and simple conversions for objects, and I never do anything without a tutorial because I worry about messing up my game. I'd like to figure out slots so I could venture a little further, but it seems really over my head. Have you followed along the object meshing tutorial from start to finish on MTS? It's pretty helpful.
-
Yes I attempted to but of course I screwed it up. I was trying to make a pair of skates from a 3d item I found online. It didn't work.
-
Aww, I bet you'll get it if you keep trying :)
-
You said the key word IF lol
-
:P Well, you know... lol.
-
Speaking of meshing projects, someone contacted me to convert my Goodbye Lament (http://under-your-skin.com/?p=2781) and Lucky Scars (http://under-your-skin.com/?p=2773) swimwear for kids. They're gonna be so cute! ^_^
-
I can't wait to see that. They are going to be cute.
-
I wonder if they've done separates before. Maybe I could get them to convert the loose hoodies properly seeing that I botched it.
-
Is the person good at converting or is it for personal use. If it were for personal use I guess I wouldn't ask so maybe they are going to post them into the community.
-
I assume she'll share them since she went through the trouble of asking me.
-
That will be nice. I can't wait to see. I recently asked someone if I could use their pictures and I have yet to make anything with them.
-
Ah that reminds me :/ There's an artist I follow on my personal tumblr whose arts I wanted to use in game, so I asked for permission. I never heard anything :/
I still made them for personal use anyway, but it makes me sad that I can't share them because I love the originals.
-
I have a totally different mindset. I would probably make them available if they didn't respond and when they did take it down. I think if if it's available on the world wide web then it's shareable unless you paid for it. It is better to get permission but.....
-
I think part of the problem is that their first language isn't english. Doesn't mean they couldn't use google translate to get the gist if it though. I figured their silence was a no.
Other people I have contacted in the past had no problem with it at all. I always give credit so I don't see the harm... I'm sending people to potentially buy their stuff. Anyway, this is the site: http://rafapasta.bigcartel.com/ (they have a tumblr too).
-
OMG those pictures are amazing. I would love to have them in my game or home in real life.
-
Right?! When our renovations are finished I plan to get a couple and hang up. And stuff from this person (https://www.etsy.com/listing/110499712/dave-grohl-foo-fighters-nirvana-seattle?ref=favs_view_17) because I love the colorings.
I also really love things printed on old dictionary paper too.
-
Those are cool as well. Very cool. I like the prints on the book paper as well. I think I found a way to do that, I just don't have a printer. I think you could do the book paper ones and put them on a disc and have them printer at a print shop location.
-
That sounds like a good idea :)
-
Yes well that's what I think in my mind lol. I have seen a lot of them like old dictionary pages with people or themes posted on them so I am sure someone is doing something the easy way lol.
-
Lol no doubt.
-
I would try it at work but my area only prints in black & white which literally defeats the purpose. :)
-
Lol yes, quite!
-
My office is moving and I think we are getting a color printer/copier so I might give it a whirl. I am not a big print person.
-
Oh cool. If you try it, let me know how it goes :)
-
I will definitely let you know. I will be leaving next week to go home for a few days so I might not get on the pc while I am there. But that's not for a few days.
-
I'll be away too actually, starting Saturday night. Hope you have a good time back home :)
-
Enjoy your vacation. I should enjoy being home. Bad thing is I am taking the cat, lol. He whines soooooo much in the car but he needs his shots.
-
Aww, poor unhappy kitty. My cats are pretty vocal about it too.
-
Lately he's been trying to hold more conversations with me and I am like what do you want or need and he just walks off. He's a nut.
-
Mine does too! I thought it was mostly because he's on the old side.
-
I think it's because they are a little on the crazy side. He's only three so age isn't the problem.
-
Lol, could be! :P
-
It's definitely in their DNA to be crazy.
-
He's still pretty clingy but I don't mind. At least he's not being super mouthy, which is exactly what I expected.
