Tinypic has restricted its use to the US and Canada only. They think this will make more people pay money for Photobucket accounts. Photobucket owns Tinypic. Whether you are in North America or not, cancel your photobucket accounts, stop using tinypic. Show them we will not settle for this.

This is ridicilous. I've been using photobucket but from now on, I'll be uploading to imageshack.
This sucks a lot for us non North-Americans, as I think a lot of people have used tinypic and a big part of the sim forums will now be imageless.

*gives torches and pitchforks to everyone*
BOYCOTT! D8<
Apparently it's not just US/Canada, also UK and Australia, by the way. Still sucks though. I have to choose another host now, maybe imageshack or imgur.

A what now! Argh. I love using tinypic, this makes me upset. Oh dear.
-
I had no idea Photobucket owns them. I'll definitely be uploading elsewhere now >.>

I tired using imgur, but i am not quite happy with it. First, if you tell it to automatically resize an image, it makes it look like CRAP. And not the Photobucket and Tinypic did, i mean, it looks freaking horrible. And then, after i had uploaded a billion images to it, a notice pops up, letting me know that, unless i have a payed account, i can only see the latest 225 (!) of my pictures. I don't like not having access to my own pics :( They still show in forums and such, but i can't see them in my account. Oh, and they will get deleted after 3 months with no views. So if you use it for pictures for forums, uploads or LJ and no one has looked at a particular entry or thread for 3 months, your pictures will be gone and your LJ will have images *rolls eyes*

I never found photobucket to screw with the quality of my images.
That does sound pretty annoying though! Thanks for the info, it's one I'll be avoiding. I've been using UploadImages for the preview pics in the forum updates board. I like not needing an account but I can't get access to my pictures later if I forget or lose the link.

Photobucket makes your images crunchy.

Hmm. Funny I had the opposite issue with a video once.
Yeah... I should find something else then :/

Oh, yeah, Photobucket is better for videos, definitely.
